My buddy Jesse and I have a digital trail camera. 90% of the pictures we've taken are of leaves swaying in the wind..lol. The few pictures we have of deer are awesome though! We've seen an 8pt, a BIG doe and a smaller one.

I just put our camera out yesterday in a pasture..which will be my primary hunting location this fall. The only bad thing is..is that we can't get the pics on our computers. We've called tech support..they say the camera doesn't support XP..but should still work fine........LIARS! Error msg's up the wazoo! [:@]

Bowfanatic, I hunt private land, so theft is of no concern.

Yikes! I bet if you did a poll on stolen game cams and stolen stands the majority would be from private land!

I'm sure the digi cam is well worth the money , I'll give the cheap one a try for awhile and see if I feel comfortable enough to put a digi out.

Double, were your first pics out of the cam in cold weather? If so, I think that is causing the problems. My cuddeback took horrible pics in cold weather, but when the weather woarmed up it worked great. I get around 2.5 months on one set of batteries. I like it, but the cold weather pics stink with blue lines in them. Rumor has it, non-typical will replace it, but I have not called them to test that theory out.

Yes, it was during cold weather. Maybe that was the problem.

I dropped my cuddeback off the ATV and nocked one of the sensor covers off. I sent it back and they fixed it and also updated it for the latest software changes. It works better than ever now!!!
