I have the trophy taker drop away and its a cinch. My first bow, a Mathews Legacy, and the trophy taker and no-peep i shot very well to 50 yrds in no time at all. There are pro's and con's. I may try a bisquit on my next bow? Not sure.

Pro of drop away, zero noise on draw, my shelf is fully fuzzy stuffed, so i can nock and arrow and basically swing it right into the riser and let it drop in the groove. I used pieces of 10 Gauge coated wire to create the trough under the fuzzy stuff. Fuzzy stuff the arm on the rest and its stood up to hundreds and hundreds of shot, the arm catches the shelf when it drops...all fuzzy stuff...zero noise on draw or drop and zero contact. Easy to set up. But it does have a string attached to a string on the bow. Simple.

I can see the bisquit being the other end...quiet, apparently once broke in, full contact instead of no contact, possibility of fletch wear and tear problems, the need for less fussy stuff, but i would still fuzzy stuff the entrance into and around the outside edge of the bisquit so you don't clang it with an arrow on the way in. Nothing attaches to your string, also super easy to set up. Its a tough one. I hunted my first season without a glitch with my drop away and will do again this season...but my next bow i might just try it....oh another disadvantage is loss of speed with bisquit, although it may not be much...still.

Its really a 6 of one and a 1/2 dozen of another type comparison in my eyes. So i'll try both and see what i end up with after i've had some time with both. Eitherway.....it sounds like you can't go wrong.

My Dad had noise with the WB. We used pledge polish on his arrows and it quieted them. Spray some on a rag and wipe. Wipe excess and polish with dry rag. Do this early so the scent will dissipate before season.

Biscuit

Biscut by far hear is why no strings attached that string makes your bow noise louder with the biscut just a pffffft i will never buy a nother rest in my life why because all i have to do is replace the wisker ....
and let's say your arrow will never fall off your rest and makes no noise when u draw your bow ... it;s a 3 wins for wisker biscuit 1.your arrow will never fall off 2. no noise on draw back or when u shoot # 3. nothing to brake when putting your arrow on the rest.....so buy a wisker biscuit and get that big buck when he is close ....

My vote goes with the biscuit as well for a variety of reasons.

1. From a setup standpoint the biscuit is so much easier to use. No linkages or potential effect on the timing of the cam(s).

2. Full containment.

3. Very quiet to draw especially on carbon arrows.

4. Very easy to maintain (biscuit replacement).

5. Relatively inexpensive.

My only real issue with it though is speed reduction and vane "damage". I had the opportunity to play with one of the new biscuits on my bow recently. With a regular prong style rest the bow was shooting 271 fps. With an untrimmed, brown-bristle biscuit the bow shot 267 fps. With some trimming I got that up to 268 fps but after two dozens shots through the rest the vanes started getting wavy. A stiffer vane design is definitely warranted.

All I can say is WOW! After reading a reply of yours in another thread awhile back I decided to try out the blazer vanes....glad I did!

It's amazing how those little boogers stabilize an arrow. I also slapped on some 100gn Muzzys and at 30 yards (outdoors) they were hitting exactly where I wanted them to go. I also believe the blazer vanes give the least resistance (causing the very least minimal speed loss) comared to any other fletching combo. I can have a dozen arrows fletched in an hour easily. I've never tried the fastset glue before so I was amazed at how fast I could fletch an arrow. I've never been a fan of vanes before just because of the arrow/head combo I prefer to use the extra weight of the vanes would drop my foc well below my liking. Now with the blazers I am right at 11% where I prefer to be.
