my friend is shooting 100gr carbon terminator arrows through his hoyt ultra sport. he is only pulling 45 pounds. the question is will he have the k.e. to shoot mechanicals with his setup and still get good penatration [sp?]

personally i think he wont be able to any other opinions?

With that poundege i would personally recommend using a fixed blade.Try a rocket ultimate steel 100 grain. Small cutting diameter and very accurate.

I would definetly NOT shoot a mechanical with that set-up! Fixed blades or what I think would be best is cut-on-impact tip like a Steelforce. He needs the easiest penetrating head this is!

There are a couple of heads that will work. The Rocky Ironhead XP, Rocket Nail driver and the Steelhead 100 will probably work provided the bow is tuned and only proper shots are taken. These heads have all proved to penetate very well in my tests, especialy for mechanicals.
