Are your groups with broadheads hitting the same point of impact as your fieldtips, but just a bigger group? Or are they still grouping well, but not where your fieldpoints are?
I'm guessing, by your explanation that they're just all over the place. Most of the time this is becuase your broadheads aren't lined up with your arrows. How fast is your bow shooting? The faster your bow, the more misaligned broadheads will mess things up.
What kind of arrows (make and shaft size/spline), fletchings, and broadheads(weight also) are you using? Have you spun them to make sure the broadheads are in proper alignment to the shaft.

There are lots of variables that could come into play. The more information you give us, the easier we can help.

im shooting pse carbon force 300, with 100 grain muzzy's, i lined all the blades up between the fletchings and that seemed to help at just 10 and 15 yards but at 20 i cant even get close the bullseye whereas when i had my field points i would hit it almost eveytime. im shooting a mathews lx and its shooting around 290 fps.

CONGRATULATIONS

You are the first of such posts for the 2004 seson

You have to tune the bow for broadheads........they are not the same beast as field tips.

Go to Easton.com and download their tuning guide - read it all night and learn - then tune - then be happy

I would just use mechanical broadheads, I use Rocket 100 grain hammerheads, I sight my bow in with 100 grain field tips, I never shot my mechanicals at a target to see where they shoot in difference to my field tips, But I have never missed a dear or turkey even shots as far as 40 yards. I've used 100 grain 4 blade muzzy's before and even to 40 yards they would hit within an inch or two of where my field tips hit. My guess is it has something to do with the rediculous speed your arrows are flying. You dont need your arrows flying that fast its not very forgiving a moderate 230 to 260 fps is more then enough velocity for any kind of hunting. My bow shoots at 242 fps and I never had a deer jump the string mainly because I geared my bow for silence rather then speed. I personally would turn your draw weight down a bit and maybe even use a heavier arrow untill you were getting down to around 260 fps I guarentee you will notice a big difference in how forgiving your bow will be and you should be able to use those muzzy's with no problem. But ofcourse I also fall in with the guys in the old school of bow hunting so go figure I guess nowadays you are not a real bow hunter unless your bow shoots 290+ fps.

I would get the bow in tune first and then if wanted use mechanicals.
They are good broadheads but not a bandaid for a poorly tuned setup. A poorly tuned setup will fling fieldpoints in a tight group but will show its ugly head as soon as you put some blades on the front of an arrow.
To get the best performance from any head tune the setup and spin test the heads/arrows. Mechs work best from a well tuned bow...

Re Tune your bow for your broadheads. Next year, remember....practice with your old broadheads rather than fieldtips.
