Kids Hunting
#13
I'm 20 now and I have been doing activities with my dad in the outdoors for as long as I can remember. I can remember checking trap lines with him when before I was in kindergarden. If I could have named critter tracks instead counting I probably would have skipped it all kindergarden all together. My dad was kind enough to take me on a caribou hunting trip when I was sixteen. It was the trip of a lifetime. We share so many great memories from that trip. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I made him proud on that trip. Take your son with. Be glad he loves the outdoors. Let him make you proud, and make your friends jealous of the bond you two have. http://community.webshots.com/user/notorious_vee

I would take my son for sure. If my Hunting "buddies" didn't like it, I would find new hunting buddies! Hunting is all about sharing the exsperience with your faimly, nothing is more important.

Littleal, ive been hunting since i was 5 and fishing since i was 8 monthes old. I would be crushed if i couldnt go on a moose hunt with my dad. Im 15 now and do a lot of hunting by myself. In fact, my dad doesnt hunt very much and Im the one that takes him!!!! lol. I hunt mostly with my uncle but the same thing applies. And, worse comes to worse, if they say you cant take your son, they never said i couldnt come. lol. Have a great time, i odnt know what i would do without all the great memories ive had with my dad and uncle. This will be one he cherishes forever.

Your buddies are the ones being selfish. Take your son hunting. There is nothing as special as enjoying the outdoors with your father. I lost mine in 1997, and I will cherish the good times that we had both hunting and fishing. My son is only five years old now, but you can rest assured when he is ready that I will share with him my love for the outdoors every chance I get. If your friends can't understand , then they have a lot to learn themselves. Good hunting.
