Whew... my bow's OK. I took in my bow the other day after an arrow nock busted when I released the string. The arrow broke before even being fired, probably because of the whisker buscuit (?). Well, anyway, it de-railed my bow string.
I took it into basspro (where I bought it) and they told me they aren't doing anything to bows for the entire week because of their fall hunting sale. So I took it to a local place. He gave me the good news that everything was fine.
What he told me was a bit of a suprise. He said that I was lucky that my bow had bushings in between the cam and the limbs because normaly what happens is that the de-railed string goes in there with such force that it will split the limb down the center. He said that Matthews, for as great a bow that they are, still don't have these bushing to create the space needed for a de-railed string and usually will split the limb.
So all's OK and I'm glad for bushings!

I was shooting yesterday and noticed that the place where the arrow broke had dug into the alluminum on the bow and tore it up a bit... I'm GLAD that wasn't arm flesh.
