Hunting on one acre

Do it all the time. Bowfanatic is right, open the window very quitely. The good news is that deer aren't spooked by ESPN playing in the background.
Seriously, is there a swingset with a fort? Very good stand to use. I pretty much gage which yard I hunt and what time by the deer the home owner tells me thats there. I have yards that don't draw a lot of huge bucks so they are the meat yards. Then I have ones the regularly see some quality bucks come through. Now a days since I really don't care to eat deer meat I don't mess with the meat yards.
A freind has some older pics that I'm trying to get scanned in. If I get them I'll post some pics of neighborhood deer.

I'm going to do that this fall. It's my 1 acre. The only worry I have is if a deer runs and drops dead on someone elses lawn. I have a creek bottom behind the house and other homes on the other side. There are a few deer that come through, but haven't seen any bucks yet, but I only lived there since December.

Well at least it should take too long to scout.[8D] If I were you though, I'd make sure I have permission to go on the bordering neighbor property at least to fetch anything. chances are that game will not stay on the one acre after being shot. With houses that close, are you sure you can even shoot a bow legally?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about where the deer goes after being shot. I've never had a deer die in a neighboors yard. They always bolt for the woods. I also hunt some places without neighboors knowing I'm there. It's an agreement I have with some home owners. As I also stated in some past posts, I've hunted successfully one spot for years without the wife knowing I'm there.

Such is life.

My land extends 90 yds into the woods behind my house. I hunt back there all the time. It's far from a honey hole, last year I didn't even get a shot at one. I mainly use it for times when I can't get to my real hunting spots and still have the need to be sitting up a tree.
