Default Shot through the chronograph today

My new Q2 shot 281 fps using a 28 1/2 inch Red Head carbon Maxx weighing 376 grains. If I did the math right, that's about 66 lbs of Kinetic energy. By comparison, my heavier and slightly longer Beman 340's shot 266 fps and weighed 434 grains and 68 lbs of energy. The 340's are 30 inches vs. 28 1/2 on the Red Hd.

Strangely, when i shoot my Mckenzie layered target, the bemans are protruding about 1- 1 1/2 inches through the back of the target and the Red Heads about 4-5 inches, despite having slightly less energy. Maybe its the buff tuff finish they talk about.

Maybe it the extra kinetic energy the arrows absorb as they are heavier. Always heard heavier arrows penetrate better
