Rule #1. When you've got a bow you are 100% satisfied with, that shoots great for you and you're happy, DO NOT TAKE THAT BOW ANYWHERE CLOSE TO A CHRONOGRAPH.

It's amazing how quick a great bow can turn into a POS because of the numbers that come up on the chrony's screen.

Darn, thats probably great advice but I did want to know. Now I'm torn between do it and don't do it.

I have to admit (nothing against Matthews owners) when I went to the shop and shot some arrows Saturday I met up with a friend who is shooting a Matthews Legacy. As we were shooting he explained how much he loved his set up and he said it was sooo much quieter. But as we were shooting I realized that my draw and release did not produce any more or less sound than his (I should be able to tell this considering I teach band for a living). I also noticed that his was no more accurate than mine. My arrows were consistently within 1" 1/2 of each other which for me (a city boy turned country) I think is prety good. Only other thing I want to change is adding sims limb saver and slide the blocks down to see if it will quiet it down even more and perhaps next year switching to a zebra or champion string and cable (a better string and cable will let me loose the strap on my existing peep and give me a lil more zip I think). You guys have been so much help and supportive. It's great to have a forum like this. (I should get my wife to bake ya'll all some cookies or somethin'). :D:D:D

I killed deer with bows that are only shooting 200fps. you've got all the speed you need to take big game. If you can shoot you can take ' em.

Hay buddy, there still some more speed in your bow! Try a 45/60 arrow with a 85 gr head!
I work in a pro shop. Some times speed has to worked toward. i would keep the string loop.I would use cat wiskers, trimmed close and moved out toward the cams (about 1 in. from them) Use a small peep. I think you should be in the 280 range!

At 268 fps you have good speed , plenty of speed . sounds like your local shop and mine are some kinda kin , two DUMBA___. i do all my bow tuning , arrow building, string and cable building cause of shops like these . it was something i wanted to learn to do anyways and now i make money doing it .
