I didn't think i'd agree with c903 on anything but i agree with everyone except atlasman here. I read thru the lines and got the message that the captain was trying to say...and it wasn't that tough. Some people though...

I hunt mostly by myself but have a buddy of mine that comes up and hunts weekends with me on my land.I don't like doing 95% of the scouting and foot work only to let him get the deer i have set my sights on--i really do wish him luck scoring on a nice one but don't feel it's up to me to put him in my best spots.Take it as you will i just think that i'm spending alot of my time to try to take the best deer i can and don't want to spend a bunch of time giving that knowledge away for a song.If i'm greedy and only in it for me then so be it.jmho.

Well then........what were you talking about.

BTW you sound like a very pompous jackass by implying that is the only deer my brother has ever taken..........when in fact you know nothing about him at all.

But you're probably used to that by now ;)

He doesn't even show anyone his deer AFTER he kills them he is so paranoid ;)

Man.......we have waaaaay too much fun back at the truck to be hiding deer under tarps and sneaking out under cover of darkness.........that would be like bringing a deer back to camp and hiding it in the wood shed [:'(]

At the time he was strapped for cash and it would have cost him almost $400. He just didn't have it and didn't want to borrow it either.

Every once in awhile he will say something along the lines of he wishes he would have got a shoulder mount done. We told him just to let us know if he ever wants to use his Christmas gift up on that we will gladly do it for him. His choice though.
