i was thinkin and i rember the days when i usd to buy liquid nitrogen and a s*#t lode of ping pong balls and shatter them on cement after dipped them in the stuff for about 2 seconds.so maybe at night you could go up there with a coffee can full of liquid nitrogen and douse the little bastards with the stuff and that would give you plenty of time to get the thing nocked down and light up the fire!!!!!!!

Wolfen the hive is attached to the platform of my treestand. There is no removing the stand without damaging the hive.

Plus, I just got stung on my temple last friday putting in some windows, swelling the side of my face up and getting a black eye from the ordeal. The little bastards came swarming out of the houses soffit and got me[:@] So I am not to worried about exterminating the little guys.

I think a bird blunt point may do some damage to the hive. I think I may try that first since that would leave no strange odors near or on my stand.

I also considered the gobbler guillotine but not to sure about that one.


I don't want to use any means that would contaminate the area with much foreign scent. So sprays, foggers and fire extinguishers are out of the question.


If I ended up having to use the paintballs what do you think about freezing them so they don't get all over the stand and trees?

FYI archery season starts OCT. 2nd. We don't freeze usually until around the last week of OCT. or early NOV.

The hive is attached to the stand. You remove the stand from the tree you remove the hive. Did you miss where he said it was attached to the stand?

A Co2 fire extinguisher with the long spout in the entrance to the hive will freeze them instantly and leave no odors for the deer to detect.

Put on some sweat pants, sweat shirt, thick socks, leather gloves, hat and full face mask. Tape up all of the seams and climb up quietly and empty out a Co2 extinguisher inside the hive.

Paint Balls are suppose to be water clean up. So that shouldn't be an issue.

If you want something that would be more daring, I have a Hot Stick. It's used to pull/reset the breakers on high power lines. They expand to 36' and 40' lengths. If you know someone who works for a power company borrow theirs and and do the quick wack and run like ...:D:D:D

Wait until the first frost and use some spray killer or automotive brake clean that works good to kill them but need to be close to spray them good luck and use a camcorder to film the removal.

Go to your local archery shop and buy ya a pack of rubber blunt tips and slide them on some of your bad arrows and start slinging them arrows at the bee hive froma good distance , again keep the " run like hell " thing in your mind !
