I have to admit this gave me an idea. It would be neat to get some fake wasp nests and hang them on my stands as a deterent to trespassers from using/stealing my stands. Better than a lock! Of course, if they notice every stand has one on it they may catch on.:D

I can't believe some of the suggestions on this thread. Some real Darwin award canidates in this bunch.

Wow, now this was an enjoyable thread to read...but one of my favorites:

If it were me I'd get back about 60 yards or so and slip off a few rounds from my 30-06 into it. If that didn't work then I'd tell my brother that I had hunted that stand and seen a HUGE buck. If I know him, he'll try to slip in there in the dark. That might keep him from trying to hunt my stands anymore!!
Captain Backstrap, you get the cookie!:D

Might I suggest a slightly less drastic solution. Find someone that has bee hives and have them remove it for you. They handle bees all the time and will use them to make honey. I am sure there is somebody around that does that.

Do people even read the threads before they post? He said he knocked it down, but people are still telling him how to get it down? [&:]
