POLL: Key factor to consistent success on MATURE bucks
Ok guys, I'm going to list a few factors that would seem directly proportional to consistently taking mature whitetails with a bow. Add as you see need, but let's try to only use ONE key factor. Remember, MATURE has nothing to do with score.
1. Location, Location, Location
2. 10+ years of experience
3. Scent Control, including the wind
4. Knowledge of Hunting Area
5. Time spent scouting
6. Actual amount of time on stand
I will reserve my thoughts to a later time.

rybohunter, what about guys who consistently kill mature bucks in areas where there are not considered to be mature bucks?
Not disagreeing, just probing.

I think all are important with the exception of 10+ years of experience. It may take 10+ years of experience o learn the skill or it may not. I think it is a mute point.
I'd have say it comes down to time spent scouting and scent control.
Time spend scouting is my final answer no, Scent control is my final answer.....final answer

Good Post Double Freek.....................
Is No# 1 for me......but not location as in country - but location as in your woods. When you set yourself up in the correct areas for mature deer......all the other stuff takes a far away back seat.......All of it
