Good luck with the walleyes. A little tip for the fish frys that we do is to use potato flakes insted of bred crumbs if your going to deep fry. We eat walleye here all summer long and this method has to be my favorite. The trick is that you have to add seasoning after you dip the fillets in the egg wash and then coat them in the potato flakes after they have been seasoned. Talk about crispy. If you try it let me know what you think.

Tomorrow morning (Saturday) I leave at 0430 hours to head north to Canada myself for a week of fishing with the boys. Walleyes are the main target with some smallmouth bass and pike action thrown in. See you all when I get back.

Whitetails & Walleyes, it just doesn't get any better than that!

He tells the wife and kids its a fishing trip for them. In reality, its probably a moose scouting trip.

Well guy's we just got back ,I even got the lawn cut before I came in to the computer. We had a great trip ,my little guy Jared caught the biggest walleye of the trip 24" not real big but a great first fish for him .Fishing wasn't real good but we managed to catch 2or 3 every outing and we also had to release that many as well ,since they were in the slot .You were aloud 4 fish 3 under 16" and 1 over 22".We had 3 fish fry's and we even brought a couple home each for the freezer.
The weather was great "no rain" but very hot ,I sure didn't want to come home I could have stayed a few more day's ,but Oh well there's alway's next year.
Bearlkr! please send me your recipe for the batter you use ,I'd really like to try it ,I never got your message since I was on my way out the door when I posted ,It sure sounds good and I'll let you know when I try it .
Anyway's the trip was a great success and we all got home safe .
Adam's ! I will go out and check the cam tommorow and see what's up with it ,I haven't had time to get there but I'll let you know how thing's are going with it .Maybe have some pic's for you's soon .As for pic's of the fishing trip when I get the pic's I'll post them for you's to drool over hahaha.
It's good to get back to the forum ,this place seem's to be my second home lately ,I sure enjoy conversing with you's all .
