Guys remember it was a piece of wood not a living breathing animal with flesh and bone. The cut on contacts had too much cutting surface to penetrate thru the wood, there was too much surface slowing the blades down. Not saying it would be the same in a deer.

Muzzy's are very good heads. I used to use them and had great luck with them. However I have since switched to a COC head (magnus) and I like them better. I feel like they will out penetrate in the case of a not so great shot. On a good shot, there's probably not much difference between them. Pass through, dead deer.
So to answer your question.....it's up to him. IMO, the COC heads offer a little more insurance in the case of a not so great hit, but I would think that the Muzzy's should perform well.

Im deciding between Muzzy 75's or G5 Montec 85's. I shoot a 75 gr field point, so 10 grains up isnt going to matter a whole. i like the muzzy's because i dont have to resharpen them, i just gotta change the blades.

Someone may have already stated this....but there is no BEST broadhead on the market. If you put almost any broadhead thru the boiler room you have a dead deer. Some may perform better than others in certain situations but there are just too many good broadheads to have a BEST one.
