Summit makes a great stand, but I prefer Lone Wolf.

I'm looking at getting my first climber this year and probably out of Cabelas.
The new Summit Goliath looks like a very good choice for me as i tip out at about 265 lbs.

looked @t all the others and i just think the Goliath fits the bill with i'ts added umph and large seat. The dog gone thing about using a ladder /hang on combo is that they are just so heavy and not practical enough as far as mobility if you come across another area you'd like to get setup.

...Don't look back.. something may be gaining on you..

Summit has two stands that fold flat. One is the bullet as previously mentioned, the other is the broadhead. The bullet is a sit and climb and the broad head is a hand climber since it has no bar across the frount. All Summit stands come with a safty harness.

I just bought a new Climbing Star FS and it folds down flat and only weighs 16.5 lbs. It is a sit and climb but their padded seat is not a sling seat so you sit up level or just above the bar around the front. I haven't been in a tree yet to see how well you can shoot out of it. So far my only complaint is the paint is coming off easy. Can this be a common problem with aluminum stands? Does paint not bake on it very well? Does anyone else own one of these?
Also if you are interested in a Summit just last week their was a guy on ebay selling new sit and stand Summits for $190 shipped.

it looks like the Summit Goliath for me,,since i have accumulated a certain amount of points toward a certificate for Cabelas i'm going with them,,i'm somewhat stoked and anxious to try it out. But it never ceases to amaze me that right when your just a few weeks away from the opener and it comes time to order your hit with that infamous "currently out of stock ..back order",,,uhhg!! ,i just hope that doesn't happen.

Any stand can slip under the right conditons. It has been my experience that the Summit stands are more sturdy, comfortable, safe and user friendly than any other line I have tried. I think you will love the Viper.

Ok, as far as using a bow on any of the summits such as Viper, Bullet,, Goliath
would buying one with a front rail be a problem?, would that rail cause a restriction as far as shooting a bow?
