I have enough to think about at home and work - In stand I just turn most of the thought processes off and enjoy the quiet.

i picture where the deer are going to come from, what they are going to do and where am i going to shoot them when they do come by. other than that, i pass time scanning with my eyes and listening for any noise, where it is squirrel or a deer. I daydream about past hunts and hunts still to come. one thing i try to do is forget about everything else that needs to get done outside of hunting!

Most of the time I daydream. Often I just relax and wonder at how I became so blessed in my life. Some times I just sit and pray and thank God. Other times I just sit and don't think about anything.

HEY NEXT TIME YOU GET BORED ON YOUR STAND TRY DOING THE HOKEY POKEY. SEND YOUR DEER MY WAY.
IT ONLY TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO MISS THAT ONE PERFECT SHOT.

when on stand i just watch everything. i also like to pray to my creator and Lord Almighty and thank him for just being out there. i ask for safety of other hunters and that i can execute the shot correctly when it comes.

Sit still and enjoy the scenery. After a while you learn the signs that other animals - squirrels, birds, chipmunks, etc - give when a larger animal is in the area. Then every once in a while, my mind will wander. There is no place I feel more at peace than in my treestand.
