There is no perfect setup and when one does come along, we'll all be shooting the same thing and all other companies will go out of business within a short while.
What I like at the moment (but am more than willing to change)
Any bow with a brace height of 8" or over and an ATA of 3"'37". My only other criteria is that it have very good cam alignment and a tight tolerance on the limb pockets.
Any strong single pin sight with a bright pin. Heck, there are dozens that would suit me just fine in this category.
Whisker biscuit rest - As a hunter, this is my clear preference at this time.
Any stabilizer that works with my current bow of choice. Not all work equally well on different models.
Release - Once again, tons of good choices. Preference appears to have more to do with how one wants it to work (index trigger, thumb, back tension, etc).
Arrows - Straightest carbons I can find.
Broadhead. - any good cut-to-tip fixed blade. I sharpen them all to a razor's edge, and that is all that is important.
String - custom built for no creep. This will improve most setups, more than anything else they add, in my opinion.
