new bow problems

I have had my matthews ovation for one week now and I am not all that accurate with it. The problem I believe stems from a more radical cam than my old Q2XL. I feel it is hard to break over and hold by comparison to the Q. Going back to the Q is not an option as it is gone and no longer made. Typically my first shots are good, but I tend to spray things the longer I shoot. Is this something I need to just work my way thru or are there some adjustments I could make? I have been watching my grip as I tend not have the proper grip pressure with the extra pressure on my bow arm. The bow is set at 65# just like everything I have shot for the last 10 years or so. My pro shop fit me with the draw length so I feel pretty good about that but have considered that maybe I could go 1/2 inch shorter. Is that even possible with this bow?

Kinda sounds like a fatigue issue if you start spraying the longer you shoot. Perhaps you should drop the poundage a few pounds and work your way back up. The other option is to shoot fewer arrows at a time. Shoot 3 arrows and then retrieve them. This gives a little rest time. A different cam could definitely take some time to get used to, but, IMHO, this sounds like fatigue. You aren't a newby, so I may be way off base.

I am with Comndr45, it sounds like fatigue, I would do one of 2 things, either back of the poundage or cut back on the practice and slowly build your way back up. If you continue to shoot in a fatigued state you could pick up some bad habits trying to compensate for fatigue.

It seems to me that the bow is real touchy as to grip pressure. Anything other than perfect (which very well might be caused by fatique) really seems to affect the groupings. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience. If so what did you do to correct it or were you able to get away from this issue.
