I know all deer are different but the pics that I've seen on this board so far have bucks with points and nubs. I finally saw deer in my hunting spot last night and 3 of the 4 bucks had nice racks.....I think. They were tall and wide but didn't look like they had any points. So unless I have 3 of the biggest spikes in the world somethings up.
In general, do any of you know if the main beams grow out completely and then the tines start to grow or do the tines grow as the main beams grow? Just curious on your thoughts.

Solax thats a good question? I don`t really know the anwser. But i do know that a couple of yrs ago my brother and i watched a nice 2 1/2 yr old buck come into a small field about ever afternoon we did notice that the main beams did grow a lot faster than the rest of the rack, as a matter of fact I don`t think this deer grew any points untill late july but the deer did become a nice 8 point in about two to three weeks time once the points started to grow! But the points were not very long?

Thanks RTA47. That may be the case here. Shot a nice 8 point in this same area last year with a 24" spread, good mass but the tines were only 4-5 inches. His rack kinda went straight out and these guys came up real tall though so I don't know.
I'll post a picture of the biggest one as soon as the season starts!!!
