Average is right around 15 feet.

RE: How high do yaw climb ?
I climbed around 25-30 last season and I never got busted by a deer. But I missed 3 deer because I did not practice shooting that high. If you hunt high up you better practice.

I climb a minimun of 20 feet if available otherwise as high as possible when I can't climb to atleast 20 feet.

RE: How high do yaw climb ?
ORIGINAL: Krotalus I have a real problem with heights. last year was my first in a treestand, i was able to get up to about 10-12 feet. this year with more practice i am shooting for 15 feet consistently and hopefully start pushing 20 feet. Anything over 10-12 feet....I'm scared to stand up to shoot.... |
RE: How high do yaw climb ?
I don't like heights either but 16 seems to be fine. I'm ok with it and the deer don't seem to notice me.

RE: How high do yaw climb ?
I usually don't like to be much lower than 15 but no higher than 25. I'd say I average 20'. I remember the first time I went up twenty feet, I could have sworn I was up 35. I couldn't imagine doing it without a safety harness.

RE: How high do yaw climb ?
it depends. anywhere from 15 to 27 feet.

RE: How high do yaw climb ?
I use my climber 99% of the time and I like to be no lower than 20 feet and no higher than 30 feet because thats the length of my bow leash.
I'd say my average is over 25 feet. |
RE: How high do yaw climb ?
18 to 25 feet...
