Looks like you figured it out Roy. All very clear pics. I have to get mine back from the co-worker I loaned it to trying to capture a black bear that keeps getting in his trash up in North Jersey.

Those are some good pictures, I wonder if the camera flash spooks the deer much, even though they seem to stick around for more pictures

royd,

you are a friend of a friend. I have seen your pictures he sent me I am sure. Do you hunt chaffee? to the other questions, my set up cost around 250.00 to build. I am no rocket scientist or electronic goorrooo or however you spell that. I got all the information from hagshouse.com on how to build it. I watched that board for a month or so, asked questions and finally ordered all the stuff to build it. Besides hunting these animals, the next best things is filming them. I can run my camera's year round and have a blast. Anyone can build one, trust me. my second name is murphy okay. here's my setup.

sony p32 camera
"the brain" controller board
1 1/2" glass circle
flash enhancer
servo connector and shutter assembly for camera to connect to board

these are easy to build, the first one will take the longest and after that the rest is history. the camera hack requires a 1/16 hole drilled in camera and 3 soldering points not to camera but to camera directly. the box requires 3 one inch holes drilled. and a couple u bolt holes so you can lock it to the tree. really these are easy to build and if you go and watch that forum, ask some questions, you too can build your own for cheaper and better than you can buy a commercial unit. good idea is to do a search on my name as I have asked a lot of questions and actually posted lists there on exactly what is need for you to build a p32 set up. some things have changed like now the guys have camo dipped boxes from natgear and superflage which far beat what my first one. all your parts can be purchased from their online store and if you're a member of the forum you will get a discount. they stand behind there work and off unlimited tech support. I have made many a good friends fromt there. If you get stuck, post your problem and within just a few hours someone will post a solution for ya. I will be glad to help or talk with anyone wanting to build there own if you email me at [email protected] your info on how to contact you. enjoy the pictures. nice picts to everyone else that posted here.

arkansasbowhunter,
Yes i hunt chaffee. I can be in chaffee in about 5 minutes. Those are some great pictures you got posted. The pictures I posted were taken from chaffee. This time of year you don't run on to many nuts like myself out in the woods. I can put cameras out and not worry as much about getting them stolen. I will pull them way before season though. What part of the state do you hunt?

Thanks,
RoyD

Ticks were the first thing that popped into my mind too when I saw the picture of that doe.
Roseaukaine, could it be that the more ticks that are on one ear, the more blood that circulates in that ear which would in turn attract more ticks? Just an idea as to why so many on one ear and not the other...

BTW, terrific pictures guys.
