I am ready to order my hunting arrows, but....

I don't know how long to get them. I presently have a 26" draw. My rest is set back 1" so that means if I shoot a 26" arrow on a 26" draw one inch of arrow will overhang the rest. My question is how many inches should I leave over the rest. I think I may grow in the 4 months until the season.
Also what is an ideal FOC for my arrow?

Zak what are you shooting for a rest? I have to shoot a little longer arrow because I shoot a drop away and I need to be sure my broadhead clear my riser when I draw. If you are shooting a drop away that is something to keep in mind.
Foc should also be considered when chooseing an arrow but you can change that a bit with difrent weight broadheads.

If you don't have an arrow length tool I'd have someone mark an arrow after you have drawn your bow. Between 1/2 and 1 inch past that is a good bet. Then remove the nock and measure from the end of the shaft to the pencil or pen mark. Make sure the arrow is long enough that it dosen't draw back past the closest end of the riser. That would be asking for trouble.
