Pendulum sights
#11
I had it happen to me and I swore I would never hunt out of I tree stand I didn't put up my self. The pendulum never swung it was lying flat and here is this trophy at 18 yds!
Don't get me wrong for the time that I used it it was nice not to have to judge the distance so to say. I now have a laser rangefinder and I always range the distances from the stand each & everytime I'm in them. So I know every how far branch rock, etc is.
Let me know how the experiment goes.

like anything else it could happen if it is freezing rain & cold. I have not heard of it happening. I would say just protect your gear in that type of weather & not worry about it!
If your a tree stand hunter a good high quality pendulum is a good tool. I'll be using my Mantis this fall when it's time to sit in the trees again!
