I can't believe it

I took my bow to the shop to get it paper tuned. I got it back and the string is twisted and the draw length is too long. I can't see through my peep. Could this be a because of a dry-fire? My shop is very knowledgeable. I would expect an apology if they dry-fired it but I'm not sure they did. I will ask them but I want to first know if there are any other causes of stretched string. The string is 6 months old and broken in. I don't want to go storming in and start blaming people.

they didn't have you shoot the bow for the paper test? If you didn't shoot it that's odd you want the bow to shot for you not someone else. If this is the case maybe they lengthened the string to shoot for them? Just a guess

Zak! I'd ask first if they had made any adjustment's and then explain to them your finding's ,I'm sure they'll help you out .I would not ask about a dry fire because I don't believe that could be your problem . They might have adjusted your peep for the person who was testing it .

i don't think you are going to be happy with a shop til you're tuning your own bow, really - at least that's my experience. get a press and learn how to do it. the chance your shop cares as much about your bow as you do is very low + no one there shoots exactly like you do so chances it will be tuned perfectly for your technique flaws is really low. nothing personal - we all have flaws - so we have to tune our bows ourselves to them.
ps - no offense to the shop owners on this forum who are spoken so highly of, but you guys aren't the norm.
