Carbon composit arrows

Default Carbon composit arrows

Does this mean the arrow it Carbon or half carbon and half something else? I heard it was half and half but am not sure.

It can mean a couple of things


It can mean a Carbon/Aluminum composite like an Easton A/C/C, ACE, X10, Beman Matrix, etc. i.e an aluminum tube with carbon layers over the top

Or

It can mean a carbon and other fiber composite. Arrows like the Easton C2 and the Carbon Express Terminators use a non-carbon fiber mixed with the carbon to add strength and/or weight without increasing the stiffness of the arrow.

If you’ve ever broken an Beman ICSH or similar shaft you can see this white fiber that almost looks like dental floss weaved into the carbon layers
