How does the no-peep effect target panick? Any benefits? Are there any real life hunting scenarios where the no-peep could be a disadvantage? Also, could someone post some pics of it or a link to a product website
Since I shoot w/ both eyes open, you get a better field of view. You can actually see the flight of your arrow from the time it leaves the rest until the time it reaches the target. This is a clear advantage when you consider you can visually check the flight of your arrows for fishtailing or porpising; arrow spine.

I resorted back to my anchor point and string to the nose, set the pin and scored on my Elk.
This is the exact purpose of the no-peep, to give you correct form. Any more I rarely glance at my no-peep and do so only when shooting groups

Titleist_03, I have mine set up with the same sight only mine is mounted on the back side of the riser!

I have been shooting with the no-peep for a few years now. I still use a kisser button and concentrate on getting a consistant anchor. At that point, I should only have to make very slight grip pressure changes to get the bubble centered. Works very well for me. After I had it set where I wanted, I used some lok tite on all the screws, so they wouldn't loosen.

Mlaubner, I wish I could put mine on the backside. But the darn Hoyt riser won't let me unless I wanted to do some serious adjustments to the mounting plate. I've adjusted to it and it works alright. I just shot a few arrows this afternoon and had my first robin hood!

Switch to Matthews just so I can mount the No Peep on the backside of the riser? Thats an awful lot of money just to be able to do that!!!

My No-Peep

Here the website
http://www.timberline-archery.com/np.asp
I noticed that you have a level on you sight that MUST be useless because the "no-peep" blocks the thing.
Well, I just attached a level to my no-peep in the most unlikely place and it works great!
Here is what I did...
Notice the extra top mounting holes on the mounting plate for the no-peep...
I purchased a level that would normally go into a horizontal sight pin slot. (Basically it is a level epoxied, flush on the end of a screw head) Then attached it into the top hole of the no-peep mounting plate. I cut off most of the screw w/ the Dremel and used loc-tite and a lock washer with a single nut to insure that it won't vibrate loose. The sight picture is perfect, no-peep below the sight housing and the level at the top, directly above the pins!

OK boys. I think I'm gonna give this little gadget a try. I have two questions:

1) Can you buy it anywhere other than on-line (SE Wisconsin)?

2) Currently my anchoring technique involves very light pressure against my face. Since I have a peep, I've always simply relied upon centering the pin in the peep, without much attention to hand/face contact. I usually touch the string to the front of my nose and I think I've been quite consistent, as my accuracy suggests. If I need to make changes in anchoring technique, I'd like to nail it down while performing the initial setup of the no-peep. Should there be significant pressure between release-hand and face when anchored? Perhaps this would be the most repeatable? Perhaps this may cause torqing of the string? Any thoughts on this?

Me thanks you.

i really like mine now, it took a minute, or 100, ha ha. biggun, i think it doesn't matter if its comfortable to you. that really is the thing. even if what i'm doing is all WRONG when i shoot - if i do the exact same thing every time i get the same result. i will say that i have changed my anchor point and played around with different ones since getting the no peep. its just so liberating to not use the peep. it took me a little while - like a week - to really find what's most comfortable and natural to me after being trained for so long to line up to the peep.

It's done. I ordered it. Just so everyone knows, I'm holding you all personally responsible if this thing doesn't work for me. There will be hell to pay. [:@]

Seriously, I'm actually excited about trying it. Anything in the name of target panick riddance!
