Default So, what are you going to change this year?

There are a few things I'd like to change on my set-up, but with my new job I just don't think I will have enough time to get it tuned the way I would like to and still get the practice I need before archery season starts. I guess I will have to leave things the way they are for now. Next year I'm going to try for a new bow.

What are some of the things you are going to change?

I already changed my bow from a Mathews to a Darton. I'm thinking about a cat quiver, need some new arrows, thinking hard about a dozen poltruded Beman hunters and definitely a dozen CX 300's. Probably gong to try the Turbo nock "hunters" in the new plastic in white on 1/2 dozen of each of the arrows and want to try the new Bohning broadhead vanes on 1/2 dozen of the CX and I need a right helical clamp for my Bitz. jig to do the other 1/2 doz Bemans. I want, but don't need a new Scott rhino release and HAVE to stop by Macrotech to have Len modify my Muzzy ZE for his micro adjustable mod. Other than that...I'm good

Gonna put a new WB disc on. Probably get some new arrows. Usually buy a new broadhead and see how it flies.

Primarily what I will be changing is Location--Location--Location!!

I have already changed my bow from a Parker UL35 to a Parker phoenix 32.
My sight from a Cobra 3 pin to a MBG dusk devil micro.
My rest from a QT2000 to a GKF TKO.
Arrows from GT 75-95 hunters to CX300's.
Broadheads from Muzzy 125's to Slick trick 125's.
I haven't bought it yet but my stabilizer will be changed from a tranquilizer to a stealth.
I gotta get a Parker two piece quiver too.

This should hold me for a good four or five years. The wife would get a little peeved if I bought a new set up every year.[8D]

I did keep the same release though. TruFire hurricane glove.

After the results on my black bear this spring I will definately be changing my broadheads. I used steel force on my bear. The first shot (due to angle) went in behind the shoulder and up into the spine....this one literally disintegrated, I pulled it out of the backbone in about 10 peices. Once the bear was down I finished him with a shot from 10 yds this one broke a rib going in but did not even puncture the opposite side at all. The top 1/2" of this one was curled right back on itself. I shoot a 420 grn arrow at 290 ft/sec....from 10 yds pass through should not have been a problem....was not impressed with these heads at all and will never shoot them again. I have some Magnus stingers i am going to try, also some Montecs that a buddy has had great results with.

You can clearly see the lack of penetration in the pic below
