Default Local Tournament

Idiots, just plan idiots. Decide to have a local 3D tournament, all is good and well. Until the make the course up. No targets more then 40 yards was the rule. Missed a turkey low at what I thought was more then 40 yards, went back once shooting was completed and the range finder says 51 and thats up hill.

Then they made us shot at an angle on a beaver. Couldn't even hit the rings, not one out of 154 people scored more then a 5 (Hitting the animal). Then they want to say that the course was the most difficult in 5 years. I finished second with a 340 IBO score, thats terrible (Got pissed and took 0 on the last 2 targets, probably still would have finish second). I left and told them to shove there money up there . Anyone else have stupid people set up any local tournaments? Have any horror stories of target placement?[:@]

Sounds like a stupid course. Ive shot some hard ones, but nothin like what your talkin about. Sounds like it wasnt even a possible shoot. I dont know who makes these things up half the time. Sorry to hear about your shoot.

What does it really matter?Everyone had to shoot the same crappy course being at the same disadvantage--right?I'm not trying to bust your chops here just saying it like it is.jmho.

Nothing quite like that though several of the local league shoots get "stttreeeetttccchhhheeeeddd ooooouuuuuttttt" a bit in July and August as that is usually when the club and league championships are held. Then in September they get back to realistic, bowhunting distances.

About the only other thing I could ever really bitch about was a couple shoots had some really dangerous targets that could have been better positioned.
