Default got my 1st wc string...one question

I just got my first winners choice string today, i have one question. I do not have a press, so i have to take it to the shop. My question is the instructions mention putting 15- 30 shots through before setting the peep, can i get by without that if i cant shoot at the shop?

Thanks

It's best that you shoot a few arrows before tuning the bow as the new string will need to settle a bit.
After this has been done then you can start tuning your bow, (peep, nock, rest, tiller, etc.)

Good custom strings and some of the better commercial strings, reduce the need to shoots a couple hundred shots to "set" the string, but they still need a few shots to settle in. You can have them put the peep in right away. Just don't pay any attention to it for a few dozen shots. The peep can't be positioned until the string has "set". At that poiint, you'll need the press again, to move strands on the peep, or to bring it in-line by twisting the string. This can usually all be done within 15 minutes or so.
