Default Question about arrow wraps?

Heres a question for anybody that has used arrow wraps before. I have been cresting my arrows for some time and finally decided to try out the arrow wraps from bohning. I recieved the wraps in the mail today and was wondering if you should trim them so they dont overlap, or just let them overlap. I am easton axis arrows, and ordered the cabon wraps which weigh 8 grains. I am pretty sure they are going to overlap because the arrow is so skinny. Any suggestions or tips to a first time user.

I've used E-Z crest arrow wraps, I've always let them overlap and it seems to work fine.

A Wrap, is 3 mil Colored Vinyl, that is applied to the Fletch End of the Arrow to make it more Visable in Flight, Improves Bonding of Feathers and Vanes, and gives your Arrows a Custom Look.

Regardless of how wide you decide to make them, if you are going to trim them take care to make each the same width, If I was going to cut them I would use a razor blade to avoid boogering up the edges. The overlap is all but invisible so if you don't mind giving up a couple of grains in weight just wrap them full width. If you cut them you might wind up with a wrinkled edge.
When you wrap you will want the area nice and clean......I wipe with alcohol and let em dry good first.
Also use a raised platform to wrap on.....a computer mouse pad is about perfect. Lay the wrap upside down on the pad, line it up carefully and roll slowly with a slight bit of pressure. The flexible pad will allow you to get good contact over the entire wrap.
Don't just try to wrap on a table etc.

Mostly I have my arrows dipped in white paint. Anyone know the weight differance between dipping and wrapping? Dips usually consist of two dips of paint, then a dip of clear sealer.
