I agree with you Kieth 100% but I haven't got the energy to hold them to thier promises .I agree and hope that somewhere down the line we can find another distributor that can show us just how thing's work when thing's are done the right way.

Nubo, how long did it take you to receive your bow.Just wondering because my dealer said it would be in this week(or so he was told)
JeffB,thank you for checking into this for us.Maybe bowtech better get on the phone and straighten these people out, woulden't be surprised if bowtech is loosing alot of sales because people are getting fed up with the wait
Thank you for the info techy, but why go through all this hassle when it should be delivered within a couple weeks, just seems to be alot of work when one is "on the way"

Nubo finally got the 'right' bow just around the end of February--the last Saturday in February I think it was, took him about two months.
Usually I would say three- four weeks (max) would be a reasonable amount of time to wait on a new bow. Any time over that, can be considered as a little past due.
In my situation it's been 3-1/2 months--but this has certainly helped me in one way as my wife now understands the importance of having MORE THAN ONE BOW.
Had I been waiting on the Liberty, without having a bow to use, then that would have been a different story.
However this sort of service is quite inexcusable and if I hadn't liked the BowTech bows I would have given up the chase a long while ago.
But I still remember my father's words--he's now long gone, but always said, "Patience is virtue", so here I am, still abiding his training.

Extreme1! where about's do you live and where do you deal with? I was told a couple of week's, but it ended up being 6 week's. Apparently there was a bit of a problem between the distributor and BowTech, which wasn't my problem, but it ended up being my problem since I was to recieve my bow in 2 week's .Although since I had been having problem's with getting my order right ,BowTech did offer to send it to me over night but I turned them down
since the distributor had promised to bring me something for all the aggravation that I had been through .As it turned out he Balked on his promise and I should have taken BowTech up on thier offer .BowTech did everything they could to satisfy me ,so as far as I'm concerned they're number one. I just hope the Dist will get thing's right the first time.

Thanx for the feedback folks..
Waiting for bows
I know how it is[:@] At one time I shot lefty (right handed, left-eye dominant), and I've waited 4 to 6 months on a couple from some companies. It was torture
I've waited nearly a year for a custom longbow. That was inhumane
. Delays are a a part of business, however in these particular cases it's just bizarre..there shouldn't be any major delays or mis-matched part bows, 2003s played off as 2004s or whatever..
I had never heard of North Sylva 'til I got involved trying to help John get his bow straightened out, so I'm unaware of any ongoing difficulties with them other than what has been brought up here on HBBS.
I have little influence in such business matters as choosing or losing a distributor, but I have sent your posts to some of the Execs at BowTech so they are aware of the difficulties y'all are experiencing. If this is going to be a recurring problem, I'm sure they will take action as you are correct: it affects BowTech's image.
Ampa if you want to email me your information (dealer,& address, exact bow you ordered, when, etc) I'll pass it along to the powers that be....perhaps we can dig a little deeper

Well being another one of the folks waiting on their new bowtech's (going on 2 months now), I will relate what I know of the situation. There used to be 2 distributers in Canada, the one in Ontario and one in Alberta. Now being in B.C. my local shop used to deal with the outfit out of Alberta and when I ordered my Extreme VFT last year it was here promptly. Now... it appears that the Alberta distributor and Bowtech have had a falling out, and the outfitter in Ontario is the sole distributor for all of Canada. Speaking with 2 different proshop owners here who have dealt with this outfit, both report problems. If you have to send your bow away for a warranty issue, don't expect to see it again for a LOOONG time! Apperantly they have a tendency to sit around at the distributors until he feels like getting around to sending them off to Bowtech. As far as I understand it their main business is in firearms and not all the staff are knowledgeable about bows. My order for example, local shop was told that they had the bow I wanted in stock and that it should arrive very promptly. 5 weeks later and no bow, we call the distributor to find that the person who originally took the order didn't have a clue and they in fact did not have the bow in stock, to add frustration to that they had no record of my order!!! Now usually I would have cancelled the order and bought something else, but right now the only other bow I would be interested in is also from the Bowtech line, so either way I would have to deal through this useless distributor. So I guess its just a waiting game now. I am going to E-mail Bowtech with my displeasure over this situation and I will include a link to this thread in the e-mail.....will see if it prompts them to do anything about this distributor.

This is just another example of how passionate this company is to thier customer's ,and I'm very happy to be part of them. If you can't get anywhere with the distributor then go to the source and good thing's will happen Jeff was an very important part for me recieving my bow and I appreciate his help. Good luck with your new bow Extreme 1 I'm sure your gonna love it .

Chris yes you are right in some sense the guy at north sylva did tell your dealer that the bow was in stock he was wrong and when the guy who was in charge showed up he called your dealer and told him it was not in stock they do not stock camo pro 40 wheelies and was orderd when it showed it was shiped out and your dealer got is on 08-05-04 with a free quiver for the mix-up also the bow was ordered from north sylva in the end of March not in december as you were told they might of ordered it from the old distributer. SORRY FOR ALL THE MIX-UP BUT NO ONE IS PERFECT AND THIS IS A ONE TIME THING AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN
