Default Montec G5 or Muzzy 3 blade

I can't decide between these 2 broadheads. They will both be 100 grains. What are some of the pro's and Con's on these broadheads. Thanks

A buddy just gave me a montec to try havent shot it yet, heard they shoot great and are really strong. I have always had awesome luck with the 100 gr. muzzy's. Shot a few deer with same head and still works. They have always been one of the best flying heads i could find.

The Montec's look like they could be tricky to get razor sharp, and I don't think they are near sharp enogh out of the box.

Muzzy is a proven deer killer.

I will be shooting G5's this year.

They are both great broadheads. I really liked the Montecs and I thought they shot really well but they were'nt sharp enough for me. Also, I don't want to have to re-sharpen everytime I kill something or miss something. I prefer something with a replaceable blade. That way I can have razorsharp broadheads everytime and I have a bountiful supply of practice blades without dulling my hunting blades. When I do shoot one through a deer in a about 15 seconds I can take an old tooth brush to them and slap new blades in them and I have a brand new head. Either one of those heads will work great. For me it's a matter of cost and conveinience.

G5 = $30 = 3 BHs
Muzzy = $30 = 6 BHs

I have them both....

They are both great. Fly great, get the job done. Not much difference in proformance. Both have done pass thoughs on deer.

Do the math, I'm not buying any more G5s not because they are poor proformers but just economics

I have shot both and found the montec to be the best shooting fixed blade broadhed. I've never taken a montec into the woods though, just for practice. I shot muzzy's for years until I switched to expandables.

From what I hear they are both great. One main advantage to the g5 is that it is one solid piece of steel.

I have used muzzy's with no complaints and a buddy of mine has used both and he likes the g5 a bit better. He thinks they are balanced better and more durable.
