I truly believe their are 3 functional camo designs....ASAT, Predator, and Cabela's outfitter series. I've contacted ASAT but have yet to hear anything.

The pictures almost look B&W because of the overcast skys.

What I saw against the dark background of the oak trees was 'light' spots that seemed totally out of context. What I saw with the MO was a more uniform blend into the tree. In any event, hiding your outline is the most efficient way to hunt. No pattern does that well when you're skylighted; therefore, I'll go with the one that blends the best into the trees from which I'm shooting.

I think the ASAT would serve it's purpose for those who shoot off the ground. Even then, the pattern appears, at least to me, to be too bright. I've seen Dave in the trees with his other patterns and I personally like them better.

Sorry, Dave.[]

I've tried contacting the ASAT guys about any new clothing coming out this year. Haven't heard anything from them either.

Anyone have any suggestions on what they want to see as far as test photos? I'm going home this weekend and am planning on taking some pictures of the ASAT. It's not too green here in Illinois yet and everything is still pretty bare. I planned on taking some pics at ground level then hanging in a tree such as a deer would see a hunter in a tree. I'll try to take some pics in Black and white but I'm not sure if my parents camera is capable. I'm open to suggestions.

Make sure you take some shots from different angles...as you mentioned. Don't worry about the black and white camera deal as you can download any one of a variety of graphics manipulation programs from www.download.com. They allow you to change a color picture into a black and white...sepia, etc....

Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Against the forest floor I don't think anything beats advantage. In green up I still like my Apparition Green.

Dave:

Got a call from the owner of ASAT today. He explained some things to me about camo patterns that makes a lot of sense. I'm going to get a suit and try it in that high tree where I've been busted so many times. This will be a good test and I'll be glad to post the results.

Gee, we'll be the ASAT Twins in the woods! Don't even think about it!!!!![:@]
