Default best tree stand

I was just wondering what everyone thinks the best tree stand is. I personally use an API Grand Slam Legend. I like the mobility of a climber, and the ease of use. Only problem of course, is not just any old tree will do. I know fixed position stands have their place, I just personally don't like them. Never hunted out of a ladder stand before.
So, what do you think. What's the best and why?

As far as climbers go, I like the summits.

I like ladder stands because I feel more secure, but they are not always as versitle as a normal fixed stand.

I'm pretty fond of my Lone Wolf Alpha Sit and Climb. Very quite, very stable, and very light. At least 4 lbs lighter than it's closest competiters. TGK

My thoughts are that the Lone Wolf line of stands are very nice and light. Climber or strap around type. If you can afford them that is. Kind of spendy, but I like having one just in case I have to set up a stand really quick. Then I go with my Lone Wolf. With a set of climbing sticks...you can't go wrong. But word of caution....save up 1st.

i like homeade wooden stands the best. If you have the lumber and your own land you can build where ever u want. The only draw back is they will eventually rot out and they are not moveable. I have built stands all over my property so that i have alot of options to go to. There is bound to be animals traveling by at least half of my stands every year. If i need to i throw up my climber and hanging stands as well. i know everyone cannot do this but if you hunt your own land or if the landowner will let you build why not try it. They are comforatble and you can camo them up real nice so you are concealed well.

Howdy
I've owned many over the years. None have measured up to the lone wolf line of tree stands.
