I have a Lone Wolf sit and climb that I really like. I have not had any other climbers so have nothing to compare it to. It is light, easy and quiet to get on the tree in the dark and rock solid. Well worth the money.
Hang on stands I like the Gorilla line. They are cheap, built strong and once in place don't move.

Summits make a good stand - That is my stand of choice

They are a little noisy attaching to tree and taking down if you are not real carefull.

They climb silent, are sturdy, seem well made and comfortable

I like to set up fixed stands pre-season and fine tune with my Summit climber the rest of the way. Ladder stands limit how high you can go but are easy to put up and are very safe. I'm a sucker for heights so I like lock on stands with screw in steps. They are a pain to move though.

After owning and trying several brands of climbers, Lone Wolf is what I use due to safety, stability, quietness, ease of shooting from, and overall ease of use. I did add a seat pad to the sling seat for more comfort. The traction belt/cam lock system is unbeatable.

Like my portables too and hope to add their strap on model this season.

My vote goes to the Summit stand as well. I'm a stickler when it comes to stands and always find something about each that I don't like. I used to use Loggy Bayou's and loved them and still do miss it from time to time. But once I"m up in a tree with the Summit, I can't beleive it took me so long to switch! Very comfortable, quite and stable.

The new climbing stirrups are awesome. No more bungee cords.

I like the Summit climbers the best too. After using several different climbers, including API and Lone Wolf, the Summit line suits me the best.

I have loved my loggy for 15 years. It's hard to change when it works. However, if I keep adding to the roof over my favorite tool, I may not be able hug enough tree to shimmy up it. I guess then I'll have to move to a two piece stand.

I also have an API Grand Slam Legend. I bought it from Bass Pro Shops last year. I received a recall from Bass Pro Shop due to the cables not being safe. Now I see that Cabela's has a recall on the same stand. I spoke with Cabela's customer service and they told me they had a recall for the cables as well, but now they are recalling the entire stand due to the "climber failing". I plan to call API and Bass Pro Shops tomorrow to find out the deal.

I have always enjoyed using my API Bowhunter but I had the opportunity to pick up a Summit a year or so ago and find it to be just as good if not better of a stand. API's quality control has gone downhill somewhat since they went bankrupt and were bought out by BassPro...at least in my opinion.

As for hang-on stands....I am partial to the Cabelas brand "trophy lite" series which I believe is made by Warren and Sweat.
