What is your best shot on any of your game animals? Was it flouk or skilled. C'mon be honest!!
The first pig I ever harvested didn't go all according to plan. My best friend and I were walking along a small rise about 10 metres above a flat half the size of a footy field, when we noticed about a dozen pigs come trotting onto the field in our direction. We didn't have any cover so all we could do was freeze, wait and hope they never spotted us.
Following up the pigs was a lone wild dog which I would've stuck but he soon spotted us. At 37yds I thought that was close enough for me considering any second now they may spot us. I slowly drew back and took careful aim at the lead and largest porker. With all the adrenaline rushing through my body with the release I flinched and hit it in her hind quarter which promptly sat her down on the spot.
The old sow didn't want to proceed walking, probably cause it hurt to move. So doing what any hunter should do I knocked an arrow to quickly finish her off. I quickly took aim and unpurposfully punched the trigger on my release causing the arrow to vere of to the left cracking her dead centre between her ear and eye. With the effect any arrow to the brain would do she instantly stiffened and fell over dead as a dodo.
I'd like to say I'd aimed there but the truth is it was a total flouk. [&o]
After my mate and I picked ourselves up off the ground from laughter we went to admire my first ever wild pig.
Lets here some of your mightly fine or flouky shots.

Well, I've only got two bowkills under my belt so far.
First, a 110lb hog @ 15yds, 1/4ing toward me. Thankfully, I hit him perfect right behind the shoulder and exited guts on the opposite. He took three or four steps and fell over kicking.
Second kill, a spike @ 20-25yds,.............spined him! It wasn't what I was expecting for my first bowbuck. I ended up having to cut his throat.
I'd rather miss completely, rather than spine another one.
