It's still the BK2 !
But I recently found out that Mathews is offering the Black Max2 with a Turbo cam @ 50 % let off this year and it's supposed to be in the upper 340's right there close with a BK2 !
Before you Bowtech fanatics jump me.......I realize the BK2 has a 1/4 " more bh and more let off......so read my first sentence again !!

Hmmmm, quiet, fast, 7 7/8" brace heigh, accurate, forgiving, recoil free, very low vibration. Sounds like my 03 Patriot Dually, shooting 318 at IBO specs at 61#, 29". And my 04 Pro 40 Dually at the same specs is equal to the Pat. Then there's the Patriot single, even quieter. So you can have the speed, without scaring everything within 30 miles. And any of these bows will hog the X ring. They just fill it up faster than the competition.

MATT ...It wasnt a "special" bow ...You can buy it at any Mathews dealer.....
Unlike the one Kevin had this year that only he has......
But Spot Hogg was there so No tricks were envolved...
But see what is funny Why did he bring a bow that you cant buy(mass) to a shootout the already lost...
But I also know that he has a plane ticket for Mathews plant when he gets ready....
Matt....Then you also know that both bows were measured for draw and letoff before the test...And after the BK was adjusted to the correct letoff everything was on the up and up......
SA......String me along all you wont I know more about it than you would like me to know..
But this is old news who cares anyway.....Just letting the guy know the whole story.....To many one sided stories here anyway.....

Hawgz, nobody was allowed to shoot, or handle, the BM. It was shot from a machine only. I'll bet for every BM you'll see 50 BKIIs (probably more, I've never seen a BM at a 3D shoot). Why is that? Because the BKII is a shootable bow, without a machine. Although some people I've seen shoot them are close.

Anymore when I'm looking for a new bow, I'm looking for top speeds combined with the highest brace height. I load my hunting bow down with heavy arrows and solid broadheads for total penetration in deer, hogs and in '04 bear. The heavy arrows scrub off some of the speed and lots of noise and vibration normally associated with light arrows. Still,, for 3D's with arrows around 450 grains my set up is running right with most all other bows with light arrows. Can't wait to try those heavy Easton Axis carbon shafts in a stiff crosswind at 280 fps

Bowtech Black Knight and Mathews Black Max will be close to eachother in speed, with a little advantage towards the Bowtech.
Another question is if you can actually shoot it at those speeds. I know a man with a 70# Black Max at 30" draw, but he is shooting heavy alu's going trough the air like trown sticks. So his speed will be not so high after all. I have been shooting a Mathews Z-Max at the World Championships, believing that speed was everything. Not! Lately i found out my top speed will be somewhere around 295 -300 and i prefer the higher braceheights with this speed. As soon as we do tournaments shooting the fasterst instead of spots, i go back to the speedbows.
