If you could only keep one.............either the rack or the meat off the deer you just killed, which one would it be.

You have no camera to take pics.

You are alone.....no witnesses.

What goes home with you??

A fanatic is one who refuses to change his mind and won't change the subject.

Too many variables.
How many does have i already shot or am allowed to shoot in the near future?
How big is the buck?
Do I need that meat to live?
Can I take one side of the rack and half the meat?

It depends. If it is "Bullwinkle" I am taking the horns (I will kill a couple of does for meat). If it is a 4 point, I am taking the meat. It's a moot point because i don't see it ever happening.

PS I am rack's #1 fan and most devoted stalker, I mean follower[:-]

If you're out there and kill a deer and only take the rack then your are no better than the poachers out there that we are always fighting against. In fact you would be poaching and hopefuly you would get locked up and fined and hunting license suspended for life.

The number one reason to take an animal is for the meat.

Well I can't eat the horns so I'd definetly be taking home the meat I would alway's have the memory of the rack .Everyone could take thier pick truth or tale. At least I would know the truth.

Exactly. I would know the truth. I would take the meat because I'm a hunter not a poacher. The horns are icing to me. Well not really icing because I don't really like icing, and anyways who ever heard of icing on meat?[:'(] Horns are a bonus but I would go for meat. I would be just as happy to shoot a doe.

ROFLMAO And another thing. Why would you be hunting if you didn't need meat? I know it's fun but I always hunt for meat.
