Is this you? Don't waste the juice on yourself...put it in a salt block and give it to the deer!!

I'm still shaking my head and wondering................WHY???

Why would
increasing ones strength would result in a change in arrow placement
? As long as your form stays the same, I can't see why it would change.

Nice sense of humor, wildstrain!

I'm not nearly as big as the pic in wildstrain's post, but I lift pretty frequently... enough to keep my bench over 225 and I weigh 185. Nothing spectacular, but I like having my chest bigger than my waist, if ya know what I mean. The point is, when I'm lifting even more frequently, I feel I have better control, can hold my bow arm more still, and can draw more poundage easier.

Maybe those aren't considerations to make a world-class archer, but it sure as heck helps when you're a 100%-pure bowhunter.

extreme shot
Changing from carbons to aluminums, feathers to vanes, etc, doesn't usually affect accuracy but point of impact. There is a difference. Adjustments that change POI are easily corrected by moving sights. Accuracy is about repeatability. A 6" group centered around the bullseye, is much worse than a 1" group centered 5" to the left.

Being physically stronger won't affect your POI or accuracy, unless you gained so much muscle mass that your form was drastically altered.

We talking compound or refcurves/longbows ?

I just started a couple of months ago weight training. Why ? Because I want to be able to pull my longbows with more control and consistancy. Nothing beats shooting to strengthen archery muscles .... but weight training can't hurt IMO.
