Nice sense of humor, wildstrain!
I'm not nearly as big as the pic in wildstrain's post, but I lift pretty frequently... enough to keep my bench over 225 and I weigh 185. Nothing spectacular, but I like having my chest bigger than my waist, if ya know what I mean. The point is, when I'm lifting even more frequently, I feel I have better control, can hold my bow arm more still, and can draw more poundage easier.
Maybe those aren't considerations to make a world-class archer, but it sure as heck helps when you're a 100%-pure bowhunter.
