I use to hunt with one eye using a light gathering peep. On my new bow I have a red dot scope. I shoot with both eyes open now. At first, I screwed up by closing one eye and throwing of my shot. I think I have broken that habit.

Both eyes open. At first it seemed kind of strange,
but after a while it was a breeze. Definite advantage
when drawing down on game.

Both eyes open - bow or rifle. Never really thought about why, just always have done it that way.

Whatever way you hit the bullseye is the way to go.

Fire arm or bow . . . I shoot with both eyes open. I use a No Peep on my bow and learned that if I squint my left eye until I acquire the pin and target I can again open my eye. The No Peep was a GREAT investment.

It works for me.

I usually shot with one eye but i have found if the pin gets blurry after awhile, i will open the other one to help re-focus. As for shooting firearms i pretty much learned how to aim with one and both eyes open. Can't really do it with a bow but i figured in time i can learn how though. Until then i am more then happy with closing one eye.
