Riverbottom, There are tracks and trails all over. There have been beds but not in the pines only on the edges. I actually jumped a deer last season, I climed all the way up my ladder stand and was hanging my bow and it made alittle noise and 15 yards away a deer jumped up and ran. He must have been asleep cause I was not that quiet
Jimpoke , I have the stands set up were there is a clearing in the middle of the pines were 3 trails meet and the lane is perfect. I am 20 feet up and can see the pines moving long before the come in the shooting lane.

Sounds like you've got a great spot. Just be careful sneaking into the middle of it since they may hear you. If it's in the wee hours of the a.m., you may be all right if you beat him getting there, but I wouldn't try to put the sneak on for an afternoon hunt.

Smart choice on those stand locations. Best of luck on you hot spot.
