Yes, usually when I shoot too much, I will have bad days. I try not to shoot more than 3 days a week.

Sometimes, especially in the early season, you need to ease your muscles into shape, and letting them rest for a day or so in between sessions is a must for proper development.

I shoot poorly most often when I have stuff on my mind, or I'm upset.
Archery is such a mental excercise, you really have to be "all there" to be very consistent.

When I start shooting bad (assuming I'm not suffering from any gross equipment or form probs), I just take a break and relax. Maybe even just try again tomorrow. You can't force it. You're either ON, or you're not.

I only shoot bad on days ending in "Y".

I have my share of days like that. Mine usually comes from the things already mentioned like having something on my mind and not being focused or from shooting to much. When it happens i just take several days off and then go at it again and usually shoot better after taking some time off.

I have bad days too but most of mine are archery related.Meaning if I get to thinking about it too much, then it just doesn't seem to happen for me.

I am the opposite than some others, when things are going bad in other aspects of life,it seems I can go shoot 20 or so arrows and completely block out all the crap and have some really good shooting sessions.Brings me right out of my funk.
