I hate to hit the heart, cause in my opinion the heart is the best tasting meat on the whole deer.

i took out 1 lung and the heart on a 10 pointer this season and the range finder said 139 yards but that is a straight line cause he ran in a semi circle so it was acualy a bit further G5 montec

I've never had a heart shot deer fall within sight of where it was shot with most of them running well over 100yds. I prefer a double lung anyday over a heart shot and every deer i've double lunged didn't go past 50yds.

I've killed at least a half dozen deer with heart shots. I've never had a bow killed deer go over 40 yards before dropping---and the vast majority of them were bow kills.

I had a shotgun killed young doe go 100 yards after being heart shot--go figure.
