heart or lung shot?
I have hear many peoples opinions on if u should aim for the heart or lungs. I myself prefer a double lung punch over a heart shot. i always aim for the lungs because they are a bigger target which gives u more leeway and they kill very quick. Where to you all aim to take down your deer?

RE: heart or lung shot?
I use to aim for the heart got a couple wright in the heart [ had the x right in the middle of the heart] they both ran more than 100yds. two years ago I switched to the lungs and in two years I got two 8's and a 10 none of them went more than 20yds. I watched all 3 fall, love that felling.

Besides being a much larger target a double lung shot will put down an animal much quicker than a heart shot. This is with arrows and not bullets.
When you double lung an animal the blood pressure instantly drops and the heart instantly begins beating faster to try and make up for this drop in pressure. The faster it pumps the quicker it bleeds out and the quicker the brain and muscles are deprived of oxygen.
On a heart shot the heart can't pump blood with a hole through it and the blood just drains out rather than being forced out. It takes longer for the brain and muscles to be deprived of oxygen allowing the animal to cover a larger distance.
