Should I hunt around a food source or a water source and when should i hunt them???

My first choice is always residential. As far as where you have to take into consideration the current conditions. If it's hot and dry, I will hunt the water source in the evening. If it's normal fall day, I will hunt the food source such as acorns mostly. If it's really cold, I hunt the hill sides that have good sun exposure. If it's windy and cold, I hunt the valleys where the deer have protection from the wind.
