today my grilfriend informed me that she wants to start shooting a bow! This is greatness. I can't wait to get her setup so she can experience the great outdoors the same way I do. This may be a valentines gift I enjoy shopping for.

Don't know about your wife goldtip, but if I made the terrain easier just for the sake of my wife I would be casterated in a heart beat.

My wife got into shooting about a year ago. She kept watching me and thought it looked like fun so I got her set up. Her only complaint was that I bought her a bow in mossy oak and then she found out it came in metalic purple . Well she was all gung ho about shooting this past fall, only problem was that she was pregnant and her belly got in the way, boy was she ticked

First of all, congrats on finding a woman who would be interested in archery and the outdoors.
I wish I did. Mine camps with me, but doesn't hunt, has no desire to shoot a bow, and will only shoot a gun if its a 22.

If your girlfriend doesn't plan to hunt with the bow, who cares what color it is? It's her bow , right?
If she gets her bow exactly like she wants it, she'll probably be more interested in shooting it.
Just make sure she understands that if she wants to hunt later on, she could end up needing a second bow if she gets the funky one now.

Heck, one the main reasons I love archery is b/c it gives me a chance to be alone, get out of house, and clear my brain.

I didn't care what color she got, you're right. It's just that we didn't know that it came in funky colors until after she had it for a while. Boy, did I catch hell for that one
