jbrodie7, a 4 inch circle at 20yds is not bad shooting and is plenty of accurate enough for bowhunting. I try to limit my effective range that I will shoot at game based on the yardage that I KNOW 100% I will hit within 3-4 inches of where I am aiming. For me, I can do that comfortably from 25-30yds, any day anytime. Past 30, and I send a flyer here and there, for me I choose to not take those shots on game. You have to set your personal limits, but again, if you can consistenly pound a 4 inch circle at 20yds, you are good to go.

I'm not that interested in pinpoint accuracy anymore. By hunting season I can put 30 consecutive arrows. in a 3" circle at 20 yards. I practise a somewhat looser but more forgiving form. It's not as tight as I can shoot, but I don't get fliers.

Are we talking about a tournament bow at low poundage, fancy stabilizer, BT release and scope; or, a hunting rig between 65-80#?

Are we talking about shooting it with the right hand or the opposite hand???

We're talking about hunting setups. I'm using a bowtech liberty, cosmic impact sight, easton 2413 xx75 camo hunters, a string loop, kisser button, and a GKF infiniti fallaway arrow rest.

Buckfevr, now I know you're stretching it. There ain't room in a 3" bullseye for 30 arrows.

Well with a hunting rig,I don't shoot groups.Thats hard on arrows and broadheads.Unless I am using mechanicals, then My practicing is done with fieldpoints.(after I have tuned and tested my mechanicals). So ,I quess I do shoot groups then.[]

I always hate this question, there is always someone that gets upset because he doesnt believe people shoot as well as they do.And we ,as shooters tend to leave out that occasional flier.[:-]

I can honestly say that at the start of hunting season with a hunting rig and clothes that at I can shoot 1" groups on the good ones and 2" on the bad ones at 20 and 2" groups on the good ones and 3" on the bad ones at 30. This is with mechanicals and the groups are SLIGHTLY more with broadheads(maybe 1/2"-1" larger, untill I try weird shots, then the groups open ).Right now it is probably closer to 2"-3" at 20 but I have not shot outside for a while. At the beggining of season I have been shooting 3-d all year and am fine tuned.

I have been shooting in the garage about 3 weeks at about 7 yards and have put a couple hundred arrows through the indoor 1 1/4" x ring without a miss.I am starting to get back into form and getting back in touch with backtension.

bgfisher,I think buchfevr probably pulls his arrows and then shoots another group, into the same 3" circle.

I did put 11 of 12 Nitro Stingers in the center x ring on a Morrel Outdoor range target at 1 time at 30 yards. The 12 th arrow was still in the outer circle.Fieldpoints,of course.

Oh oh.... we better not start that again. I missed you today when I picked up my bow Len. Shot for a while, set my pins, flirted with your wife etc. She finally threw me out. Thanks for the new Muzzy slide. I didn't know they had them. It's much better than the old I think.
