Default Pattern changes?

I was walking through a woods yesterday that i am going to bowhunt in fall. I saw a lot of deer trails and tracks. Will the trails and the move ment of the deer change alot by fall?

Default RE: Pattern changes?

Never been to Wisconsin but I would say yes their patterns will change. In early fall around here the deer are mostly feeding in soybean fields. Once the acorns fall in oct. they move to feed on them especially white oaks. Now in winter they are eating any kind of browse they can find the grain fields are basically empty and the acorns are gone. In winter they like anything that is still green like winter wheat, rye, barley, oats, clover and grasses. However they might bed down in the same place all year. If you have found their core area they will still be around there in fall but they will be feeding in different areas. Like I said I dont know much about Wi. but they will be bedding in the thickest area you can find and they will probably be feeding in the fall on grain like corn or acorns. Notice where the white oaks are or the grain fields and put your stand between the bedding areas and the feed. Hope this helps.
